New Engine Nearly Complete!
Well, my new engine is almost complete. My Harland Sharp rockers are not fitting with my AFR's because I think I may need new rocker studs. Otherwise, it will be installed tomorrow.
What do you think? What color valve covers do you guys think I should go with?

I like the black crinkle-finish valve covers with "chevrolet" embossed in them.
Do you have any more specs on the engine or maybe a link to the build thread?

Re: New Engine Nearly Complete!
I do not have a build thread but can give the basics below.
350 bored .04
Eagle rotating assembly balanced and polished
Speed pro pistons (flat top)
Zero decked block
AFR Eliminator 180 heads (65CC combustion chambers)
LIngenfelter/Accel high flow intake and runners
.041 Fel-pro gaskets for a .041 quench
Hooker headers (ceramic coated)
Double roller timing chain
Lingenfelter 74216 cam
Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers
Custom chip by PCM's for less
TCI streetfighter transmission
B&M hole shot 2,400 stall
All aluminum radiator
I think that about covers it!

Ok, fine make me go look for cam specs.
213/219 .493/.502 HR112
Decent lift, i'd like to see some more duration, should be very "streetable". I'm guessing about 420hp.

Re: New Engine Nearly Complete!
LOL, sorry I guess it would have been easier for me to post them. I would like for a little "lope" in the exhaust tone but I am not sure I will get it with this cam. Streetable is the goal though as this will mainly be a fun weekend car.
The Harland Sharp rockers through me off though. I thought they would go right on, but I do not have enough thread to get the poly locks on. I guess the trunions are too large and I need larger studs. I am going to call AFR in the morning.
That would be great to have 420 HP. I was hoping for 350 to the rear wheels, so with parasitic loss I should be right around my mark.
I have also made all of the necessary suspension upgrades.
Boxed lower control arms
Adjustable pan hard bar
Sub frame connectors
Wonder bar
I have been working on this car since 2005 and it is getting so close I can taste it. I cannot wait to drive the darn thing! The last time I drove it was in 2004 before I started tearing it down. It should feel a little different than stock........

Re: New Engine Nearly Complete!
if you did this much work why not go the extra little bit and put a tubular k member in. the black crinkel valve covers are nice those are the ones i got
and the tub k member gives your more room and less weight
