Dead car this morning.

Dead car this morning.
After driving and parking the car last night this morning I went to start it. It always starts right up so when i turned the key and the starter ran but the car never fired up I was surprised.
Here are the details:
Engine turns over with no problems
Tried a half dozen times but it just won't start.
Doesn't even begin to catch, just keeps turning over.
Year old plugs, wires, rotor and cap
Had an extra coil laying around so I threw it on. Same result.
At this point I'm thinking fuel. I did disconnect a fuel line to the TB and turned the ignition to on and no fuel shot out. Hooked the line back up and turned the ignition to on again and listened for the fuel pump. Couldn't hear anything. Are 3rd gen fuel pumps like th 4th gen pumps in that you can hear them come on and buzz with the ignition turned to on? Until someone on here confirms it I'm going to lean towards a bad fuel pump. No idea how old it is but it could be original. Car is an RS, 305, TBI, with the 5 speed.
What do you guys think fuel pump??
Thanks

Re: Dead car this morning.
Ok. Definitely not priming. Checked the fuses under the dash. All good. Checked the fuse by the battery. Good. unhooked and looked at the relay but without testing it I can't rule it out. Think I have a bad pump or relay at this point.
