HELP!!!! Cant get my wheel off!
I have an 87 TA and its got 17x9 ROH Snypers on all 4 corners.
It has aftermarket aluminum finned drums in the rear and im having one heck of a time getting the passenger rear wheel off.
I purchased a new set of tires (old ones were sitting for a few years and i had a blow out on friday)
Problem that i am having is that the wheel seems to be fused to the drum somehow. I tried spraying some WD-40 in between the drum and wheel and it looks like its getting in between as well as spraying it in between the wheel studs and the wheels.
I have been smacking the back side of the tire, not the wheel (im affraid of damaging the aluminum wheel) with a rubber mallet to no avail.
Any ideas on how to get this wheel off so i can go get my new tires put on?

Re: HELP!!!! Cant get my wheel off!
Stand backwards at the wheel.
Lift leg.
Rest bottom of foot against the tire.
Pull leg away from tire keeping foot vertical.
Slam the bottom of your foot against the tire as hard as you can.
Repeat until wheel weld breaks from drum.
Seriously. It works.
You get no significant power from a rubber mallet.

perfect!
I tried that as soon as i got home and BOOM! the wheel came off.
Time to clean up the hub ring on the wheel and drum so it doesnt happen again!
thank you for the advice!

I had a similar problem trying to do brakes on my friend's Corolla. I think she got a little worried seeing me kick furiously at her front wheel. Just assured her it was all part of the process
