First of all, do a search, there has been more posting about the 33 error code than any other. Secondly, what car do you have? Are we supposed to guess?

Well, I did not know that '91 V6s could get a 33 error code. Just about everything written about the 33 error code are MAF cars like mine.

Re: Code 33
On the 3.1L V-6 error code 33 equates to either the MAP or Low Manifold Pressure. If you know for sure that your MAP is good try looking for leaks in the manifold gaskets or hoses. There are many vacuum hoses that could cause this code.

if your iac is stuck open you will hear it hissing constantly. Not sure about your vehicle but I can stick my hand over the iac opening on my 88 350. If you can plug the air inlet of the iac then you will know for sure if its stuck open because it will stop hissing and might stall.
