timing problem....maybe not

this engine is freshly build have about 35-40run....no street only 1/4mile run....had some power lost, so did some check up

one of the problem found was an almost eated up dizzy gear.....when we put the cam(mec roller) crane said stock dizzy gear is good since they made change on the cam so bronze gear is not needed. So checked more and found my dizzy shaft had more then 0.030" of end play.....put a new gear adjust end play at 0.015"....thinking this could be my problem.

now everything back on the car....set timing at 38 base(dist is locked).....now I may be crazy but when i make quick throtle shot it go to 28-30 and 46-48 when quick release. Something mecanical is going wrong or its normal.

there is a cam button....even a plate with an adjust nut behind the water pump, end play was adjust by the builder(crane spec) ,mec advance in the dizzy is welded and vaccum advance locked

thanks

Seb
