cranks but wont start
im back again, just after a month with a new waterpump the Iroc is acting up again. anyways, i got off work today and waited in the car a bit to warm it up and made a 10 minute freeway drive down to the city to pick up my father, while there i didnt turn off the car, and we drove back another 10 minutes on the freeway. i didnt go to fast, maybe 80 to 85 at most, there was a burnt smell before i got home, but it smelled like burnt brakes more than anything, but it could be a burnt wire. anyways i pulled in the car and parked it. i went inside for about 20 minutes and i got back in the car and turned the key, but after about 5 seconds of cranking it. nothing happened. i try again, nothing. i open the hood. coolant is good. spark plugs wires look fine from what i can see, no fluids spilling or leaking, looks fine. crank it again, still wont turn on.
now my question is what couldve gone bad? ive been using it as my daily driver for acouple months now and have had no problems other than the waterpump. but the mystery is why would it not turn on? even though i had just driven it 20 minutes earlier with no problem?
heres a list of new things put in the car
IACV
alternator
battery
waterpump
radiator
fuel pump
thermostat
new plugs (well 2 are new, the others i couldnt get off to replace them)
new wires for the most part
cap and rotor
ignition coil

Does the car fire up after it's been sitting a while?
Have you pulled a plug to see if it's getting spark to it?
Have you checked your fuel pressure with the key on and engine off?

yes, it fired up faster than usual this morning. i havent pulled a plug yet, i pulled one acouple days ago and it had no unusual wear. i dont have a fuel pressure tester. also if it has anything to do with it, its been wasting lots of gas, more than usual

Re: cranks but wont start
Did you try unplugging the cold start sensor? I've heard this will stop the car from starting up when hot...
