Is it CRUCIAL that i plug my vacuum lines?
Hey, my car runs a lot better when the vacuum hose from the purge solenoid valve to under the throttle body is disconected at the canister. This means the throttle body is just sucking air. Is it crucial that i plug this line because the car idles alot better when it is just free flowing. This is the only thing that is done to the canister, all the other lines seem to be hooked up. Reason i ask is i has liquid gasoline fill my canister the other day and i unhooked this line because it was filled with liquid gas leading to my throttle body. I think that was what was killing my idle. Please help!

get the canister issue sorted out, then do a IAC and TPS tune
search IAC tune or look up the tech article.
basically, you need to tell the engine where you want it to idle and the iac keeps it there.
right now, it is probably shut, meaning that your idle is all F-ed up.
with the vacuum leak, it acts like a open IAC... sorta kinda
