low oil pressure + hot starting
Hey guys.
I just did a head and cam swap, and everythings running great, except that I noticed my oil pressure is running much lower than it used to. It now has 40 psi cold, then drops down to 8-10 psi at warm idle. It kicks up to about 20-30 psi cruising. It used to run 50 psi cold, 15-17 warm idle.
What could be causing this? Keep in mind I've tried changing the sending unit, and tried a couple of spare tach/oil gauges i had lying around. They all read the same.
Any thoughts? Should I try one more sending unit just in case? Check with a mechanical gauge?
Also, any recommendations on helping my hot starts? I have heater wrap around my starter now, but still the car has to sit for 15 minutes or so before it cranks over. My initial timing is 20 degrees, 38 total.

Could it have anything to do with going from a hydraulic flat tappet to a hydraulic roller?
