N00b/dummy.. idle question
Hello,
My Formula 350 idles at about 500-800 rpm... every 7 seconds or so I will hear a click from the engine and it will surge for a second up to about 1000rpm then drop back down again. I can hear it clicking and surging a little bit when I keep it revving at around 2000. Can anyone give me a hint what might be the issue? Thanks

Re: N00b/dummy.. idle question
Your A/C is probably on, though mine doesn't surge while i rev it past idle, it does surge while it's at idle, everyone once in a while with the A/C on (I always run the A/C because the fan switch doesn't turn on) the idle will surge a little bit and drop back down, but it stops once I start driving.
Check whether your A/C is on, the clicking is the belt driven A/C clicking on and off.

Thanks guys, I will check around in there.. the AC is not on, so I hope it's not something big It runs OK other than that constant 7 second click.. I just don't want it to turn into something worse.

It sounds like your AC compressor is cycling on & off, despite what the dash switch is set to (AC Off).
