New Engine - Cam Help
I started Toying with building a new motor for my 84 but im stuck on cam selection. So far this is what i have decided to go with.
Howards Racing Componets 397ci Maximum Effort Shortblock. 11.5:1 Comp.
AFR 195cc Eliminators
Weiand Team G or Edelbrock Victor Jr. Converted for MPFI
I know the cam is going to need to be a custom job but i need inputs from you custom cammed guys.
As far as off the shelf cams i was looking at the gm847 or the 292xfi, but i know there is way more potential in custom grinds.
I think im leaning towards one like what Orr89RocZ or one similar to the 292 xfi on a 110 lsa instead of 113.
My main concern is that i will be controlling fuel with a megasquirt system, which is speed density. Ignition will be handled with a mechanical advance distributer i have in my current setup.
