Starter Problems
I just recently rebuilt a 383 and putting the starter on it doesnt get close enough to the flywheel, it catches the edges of the teeth but thats its. I was wandering what to do about this, i heard that mini starters are adjustable but i wanted some opionions. Anything would be great, I used 2 differnt types of nose starters and ones way to close and the others too far away. The one thats too close takes more then a whole shimkit to fit anywhere near.

Re: Starter Problems
I've called summit, napa, arnolds, and car quest and none of them have ever heard of this. Summit thinks its a egg shaped fly wheel but it worked just fine before the build. Ive been told that i can try grinding the casing on the starter to make is closer to the block so I think im going to try this. Any thoughts on this?
