Hose help please ASAP (with picture)
So ive searched the threads for days now trying to find pictures of my question and its very simple but i just cant find an answer so hopefully the picture goes through but here goes....
in this picture i have pointed out the little coolant routing "t" that goes right next to the throttle body. my question is the vacuum line that attatches to the very top of it where does it connect too? im getting gray hairs trying to figure this out. Any and all help will be awesome

Could be wrong as it's been awhile, but it should go back to the heater box and hookup on a vacuum block there. The piece you are pointing to is the heater control valve. Unfortunately my, GM manual is at my garage and I am @ home. If I get by there I will check....

Re: Hose help please ASAP (with picture)
There should be a hard plastic vac. line that goes back into the firewall next to the heater hoses.
If you can't find it,just get some new heater hose and eliminate the valve completely.
Thats what I did on my 89.

He's right a hard plastic vac line by the heater hoses. Yeah I ended up eliminating that valve as well. Since I swapped motors and went to carb I am a bit rusty on my TPI stuff, Thanks for the correction...

If you eliminate that value, are you going to have hot anti-freeze going thru the heater core all the time causing the heat in the car to be on all the time? Even with A/C.

The heater core has nothing to do w/AC. If you have heat on cold no hot air comes through. I've had two 3rd gens setup that way now.

Can't tell where mine ends. It runs into a wire loom, which is factory taped/wrapped at that point.

Okay, if it works, but if you delete that value and you have 3 hoses going into it, do you get a "T" valve or how do you route the hose? Which one connect to which one?

Re: Hose help please ASAP (with picture)
I eliminated the whole cluster or hoses and the T. Ended up re-routing all my coolant lines for a cleaner effect.
Not the greatest pic of those lines but here it is. Cost a lot of money for the preformed hoses from various cars.

My video (Post #9) showing it going into a wire loom, didn't help? Follow the loom (since it apparently goes into the loom) & whereever the loom goes, so does the hose.

Re: Hose help please ASAP (with picture)
haha sorry stephen that was my bad my cursor didnt change over your link so i didnt even know it was there. that was exactly what i was looking for even though i cant find a hose or anything coming from that wire loom (my luck), but there were two things and i would love to post more pictures but of course my iphone wont work that way anymore.... i'll try and get a real camera soon to take pics of what i mean but maybe you guys can tell by my description. first one, there is a blueish 3 way vacuum connector that kind of sits over the brake booster with all of those wires and stuff... i have that plugged into my plenum in the back near the distributor... i think i got it hooked up right but who knows... second one, this could be either cruise or something else but it looked like another connector or some kind but the hose rund down under (from driver side) and was melted off probably from exhaust or something (i only say cruise because my cruise doesnt work... any ideas? i'll try and get pics ASAP
