cams in question
i am looking to upgrade my 383 and am pulling my little melling cam with only .480/.480 lift and going to a bigger cam here are the ones i was looking at from the one like the best to the one i like the least
comp cam magnum cs-305h-10
.525/.525
adv. duration 305/305
power range 3000-7000
lunati voodoo
.525/.546
adv. duration 284/292
power range 2500-6500
comp cam xtreme energy
xe294h-10
.519/.523 lift
adv. duration 294/306
power range 2800-7000
now with the comp cams i would use 1.6 rockers to bump up the lift a little. and i have a 5 speed with 3:70 rear gear ratio. i am looking to get around 500 hp at the crank and will be purchasing a speed demon 750 carb and maybe change my performer rpm intake to a victor jr. for heads i am running 2.02/1.60 and 200cc intake aluminum. running around 10.5:1 comp. any ideas? or is anyone running any of these cams? if so what kind of power are you getting?
