dipstick woes

my dipstick broke and i need a new one.
the block in my camaro is a 72-80 chevy c-10, 3500 or dumptruck conversion block.
my current dipstick is probably the longest dipstick i have ever seen.
ive been looking in the junkyards for a dipstick and tube, but all the junkyards in the area either dont have anything at all or its on the passenger side of the engine.

help!
what do i do
i really dont want to spend $80 on a billet one
