A guy is offering me a 305 tbi engine from a 1998 chevy truck. it has roller rockers. and it has everything besides the heads and intake. he said i can use my heads and intake from my 88 camaro with a 305 tbi. and he said it will swap into my camaro no problem. Is this true? and should i do it?

 

It 'should'. Couple of things that pop into my mind though are, what's wrong with the current block, what's the asking price, and aren't 98 GMs SFI not TBI?

Might make a good spare though.

A couple of things you might run into are different pistons and whatever cam is in it flywheel matching all that fun stuff.
