How do you take apart an IAC?
The IAC's that were used in TPI and I believe also TBI engines. How do you take them apart?
I have already gotten the pintle out but appears you can take apart the IAC itself around where the electrical connector plugs in. Does it screw out? Or is it permanately glued in?

Well, what I did was scrub the pintle clean.
As for the iac I took a can of wd40 and stick the hose down inside the iac, then injected it full of wd40. Let it sit for 10 minutes then repeat to flush. After doing this 3 times I noticed the worm gears on the pintle were no longer covered in black crud after removing it from the iac. Hopefully this does the trick.
