Gear drive in a tpi

Re: Gear drive in a tpi
Anyone have actual factual data? So far I only see people assuming and what not?
Would this be too noisy?

(and before someone yells r!cer, that's my car and I have always had gear drives on my corvettes, they are milodon drives)
The KS only picks up certain frequencies (reason why they are specific combos of KS & ESCs w/ engine sizes/types) anyway...I'm not sure the whining is enough to set of the KS. Tapping with a hammer is a lot different from a running gear drive. I think it might work.
If you want super steady timing, get a crank trigger. A gear drive will transmit harmonics.

Hey, real mature way to answer. Secondly, I read from your post you got knock counts during starting not running. I'm interested in wether it's a problem on a running engine, not during starting. So what's with the tone? Did I say YOU were assuming anything?
