what yall think about this supercharger build?
what do you think about this build:
Edelbrock e-tech supercharger (which is a Magnuson MP122 supercharger)
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=EDL-1553&N=700+0&autoview=sku not sure if im going to get it with the edelbrock carb or go with a holley supercharger carb thats 750cfm
350 block bored and stroked to a 383
put together with a eagle specialties rotating kit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
afr 195 street heads
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=AFR-1038&N=700+115&autoview=sku
havnt decided on a cam yet...
im not exactly an expert on engine builds...so wanted to get your opinions...and make sure im building this right the first time...i would like 500 wheel hp but id be happy with 450 and around same for tq #'s
i am going superchargerd...just need to figure out all the details so i can price it all and get it put together and in the car...dont worry about the trans or rearend...i have a tremec tko 600 trans...and soon i will be getting a 12 bolt moser rear put in....so any other advice would be great thx...if you think i can build it cheaper and reach those power numbers plz point it out for me...and dont tell me nos...thx

It would be easy to get 450 out of it without the supercharger. If it's not meant for the street only, then some motown 220's and a stiff roller cam will really wake it up. It will need the chassis stiffened too. Crane has some cams just for supercharged engines that put down good numbers.

I had mine on just motor making 405rwhp through an auto trans and using trick flow heads, which have somewhat less potential than the AFR's you're looking at. I'd say it's quite plausible to get 450rwhp on motor through a manual trans using AFR heads and a good cam, but the downside of that is probably lower tq and driveability than a smaller cam supercharged engine like you've thought of. Probably almost any size cam could get you that kind of power with those heads and a supercharger, but I'd say something in the 225-230's intake duration with a 114 lobe separation would work nicely. Could go bigger on the cam, but the trade off for more power in the cam is less milage and driveability.
