LT1 composite valve covers & 1.6 rockers....
Hi Guys, I have a set of Corvette LT1 composite valve covers, & am running the GM performance 1.6 roller rockers. They fit fine und the stock ZZ4 steel covers, But no such luck with the composites. These new composites have oil deflectors that appear to be hitting the rockers. Thinking about grinding them off, but wanted to see what everyone else here thinks.
I can post pictures later if that would help.
Thanks, Carl

Here some pictures. I am guessing cutting the oil deflectors off will give me the clearance I need for the rockers, But I am not certain & I think it will be close. Did the LT4 covers have the deflectors? I thoughts LT4's had rollers too? Maybe not?

I think the LT1 and LT4 corvettes used valve covers that looked the same, but the LT4 valve covers, since they used Crane 1.6 roller rockers, had a set with no drippers on the inside. You can just grind them off and then they should be basically the same as the LT4 stuff.
