To Much Lift For These Springs??

Hey everyone, I got an 86 LB9 with the summit G5000 cam/lifter kit. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...6383&N=700+115, the lift is 420i/442e, I was doing the math and when I install the 1.6 rockers my lift will be 448i/472e. Does anyone know if this is to much lift for the springs that come with this kit or am I better off calling them. I cant imagine that would be to much. Thanks. James

Since it doesn't say what springs are in the kit, it would be best to call them. Hopefully you'll get someone who knows what they're talking about.

Re: To Much Lift For These Springs??

So I talked to summits tech line today, I said "I have a question about part # SUM-G5000". They said "ok". I asked "What is the maximum recommended valve lift with the valve springs the kit comes with?". I got a copy and pasted section from the parts page with lift specs on the cam? I just said thank you and that was that. So I will try calling Crane who made the cam for summit and try my luck. If no luck there I'm just going put the rockers on and see what happens.

Re: To Much Lift For These Springs??

So I think I finally figured out what springs came with my kit, I looked at the came that I bought not in "kit" form and went to suggested parts and these are the only springs that were suggested http://store.summitracing.com/partde...+&autoview=sku I went to crane and the highest recommended valve lift is .487 so it looks like I will be all set
