383 CC306? XR288? XFI 292?

Those are my three cam choices that I have for my 383. I will be upgrading my exhaust to 3.5 or 4". I will also be putting in a AS&M 1300CFM Throttle body and of course a custom tune after the cam is installed. I am looking for 11.5-11.6 ET with the exhaust...no cutouts....

okay if you have 195 afr heads get a custom grind. dont do the x288 cam. I haad a 282 and it was being completely outflowed by my dart heads.

Cammotion is a really good place

I thought about custom cam, and the xr282 is a nice cam, but rather small for a 383...then again this is the pot calling the kettle black with my 224/230 cam

id like to see what ppl are making here and waht times ppl are running with the cc306 cam with a 383

Okay so i have a x282 with dart 200cc heads. flow well i went 12.0 consistent at 115. i ran completely out of camshaft. had a victor jr and a air gap intake.

i cut 1.75 60' on it with a 700r4 and a stock 10 bolt.

with my custom grind ill be going 119-120 on motor.
