What's the best way to clean fuel rail?
I got a 3.1 V6 and have this extra fuel rail that I want to install new injectors on and was wondering is there a way to clean the fuel rail by soaking it in something. I know I'm going to put a new fuel pressure regulator on it because I dont trust the age on the one that's on there now. I'm going to leave the fuel body on. Anyone heard of cleaning a fuel rail?

Either soak it in diesel fuel or carb cleaner dip over night, or spray it out with brake cleaner - or both. I'm assuming you'll be removing it....? Just make sure not to get any rubber parts in that stuff, as those chemicals will ruin them.

Re: What's the best way to clean fuel rail?
I got this from a guy parting out his 3.1. It still has the injectors on it and they ohm(ed) at 12.2 on average. I'd still rather replace these stock ones. I want to clean this fuel rail and install injectors on this one before I take my old one off the car. At least this one will be ready to install. I know the fpr has a rubber diagphram so I'm going to install the after I soak it. But does the fuel block have a gasket or rubber seal that might get harmed while its being soaked?
