cam selection...help

Had some probleme this season with rocker and tuning my car. After some check up, cam lobe are wiped(3-4).....cam have about 2-3k km so I failed my cam brake-in. Anyway i can live with that.

So I need a new cam, while there im going mec roller

engine spec
350 bored 0.040 about 9.5 to 1 comp
perf rpm 64cc head
perf rpm air gap intake
650 holley DP
lt 1"5/8 with dual 2"1/2

old cam was xe 274....was able to get some low/mid 12sec run with the wiped cam

car setup....3500stall, 700r4 full man shift kit, 4.10 gear with 28" slick....race weight about 3500-3600pounds

ill try to raise comp ratio in the 10.5-11 range with forged flat top and i will run 100 to 150 shot....might go higher on the juice

crane recommend me the powermax 118551, just want some opinion on this and maybe other cam option

thanks
Seb

Re: cam selection...help

powermax 118551 is a hyd. roller, Not a mech. roller. If you drive the car on the street I would run the hyd. If your car is a strip only car I would run the mech. cam. This cam looks a great choice.
