350 crank

didnt really know where to put this so i figured engins was a pretty gud choice

ive got an 86 350 4 bolt main with a stock steel crank (truck motor) and im pretty sure im goin to make a 383 stroker out of it. the crank itself is in gud shape just needs a gud polish (minor surface rust from sitting for past year)

so my question is what would it be worth
should i even try to sell it or would i be better of just throwing it in the junk bin and hauling it for scrap

thnx zig

Re: 350 crank

if your going to stroke it why are you concerned about the crank you have ? maybe your talking stroke of a crank other than the engine . anyway to stroke an engine you will be changeing the crankshaft . GUD question , lots of luck .

Re: 350 crank

yea i know that much
383 storker is a 350 block with a 400 crank
that part i understand
what i want to know is if what i already have is worth selling or not
broke college student plus new motor means a budget build where selling of things i already have will really help. so is it worth trying to sell or just throw it to the side

however thnx for the help

Re: 350 crank

They aren't really worth alot more than any other stock crank, simply because they are not rare by any stretch, and good aftermarket cranks are available for fairly cheap now as well.

I'd suggest just putting it in some kinda free local classified ad place and see what offers come in?
