CAM QUESTION

Guys,

I blew the engine in my 1988 GTA last week. I've got he LB9 5.0. I getting a remanufactured LB9, but want to add an upgraded Cam over the stock Cam. The guy that doing my engine suggested a Stage 1 RV Cam. He stated that this Cam is an upgrade and would give me an additional 20 to 25 horsepower, and does have some lope at idle. Has anyone heard of this particuliar Cam?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes, an old off-the-shelf cam, sold by many different companies. I doubt it will add a lope to the idle - if it does, the TPI won't be happy with you, anyway.

Re: CAM QUESTION

Take a look at the following Crane Roller Cams .

Crane Grind# 2031, Summit# CRN-104225
Lift .438/.452 Dur. 208/214 Lobe Sep 112 (Computer Compatible).

Crane Grind# 2032, Summit# CRN-104224
Lift .452/.465 Dur. 214/220 Lobe Sep 112 (Computer Compatible).

Both Cams about $290.00 each. Could use good stock Roller Lifters.

Good Luck.
