need help with my 97 silverado?
Hey gang
Got a question regarding my 97 silverado. I belong only to Third Gen Org so I thought I would ask here.
drove it after doing brakes and plugs then shut it off. next morning went to move it to get my other car out the drive and it had to crank about 10 times before starting. Came home after work and it wouldnt start at all!
changed crank and cam sensors and it still wont start.
Now after changing these sensors when I crank it it acts like my F body when the ignition is advanced too far. . .cranks but has that over advanced hesitation while cranking . . . and still no start.
I know lots of you folks have silverado's so please offer your assistance if you can.
thank you
Jeff

Re: need help with my 97 silverado?
If anyone was following this post I got my truck running.
For those intersted the crank sensor I got at auto zone was bad out of the box! Of course after putting a new sensor in and getting poor results I bought a new cam sensor and spark control module. After convincing myself that the engine was seeing full advance while cranking I put another crank sensor in from my regular part store (federated) and it fired right up.
I pulled the other parts out that I bought at auto zone and returned them without hassle.
I dont recommend using parts from auto zone. I also bought a distrbutor rotor there that came out of the box broken.
