Knock Sensor Triggered By gear drive noise
Hi all ,,, anyone ever hear of this ,,,i was told that a gear drive could possibly trigger the knock sensor too reduce timing,,
has anyone had this happen or have first hand knowledge of it

yes it happens the whine of the gears does it.
My buddy and I built a engine that used a pete jackson gear drive some years ago and we had this problem. It was solved when we put the motor into a different car with a carb on it instead.
