Failed inspection partly due to burned out center brake light. Tried to get the 2 screws out, to replace bulb. Both screws are stuck soilid. Soaked them in Liquid Wrench about 4 times, over 3 days. Still stuck. Of course the screws are those useless Phillipshead screws.

All I can think to do is to drill off the screwheads, remove lens, if possible, replace bulb, reinsert lens, and use some sort of semi-hardening putty to hold everything in place until next time.


Any other ideas ????

rub hydrogen peroxide on the screw, let it soak in for about 5 minutes, then spray liquid wrench on the screw and let that soak for another 5 minutes. then take a screw driver,(make sure its the correct size so you dont strip the head of the screw), and TIGHTEN the screw first, this will break any corrosion in the screw.

Next take a rod of some sort or a long screw and place it over the head of the screw in the brake light, Then tap on the other end of the rod or long screw with a hammer, this will break any remaining corrosion.

Then put both hands on the end of the screw driver and apply alot of force on the screw and turn it to the left, and loosen it...

its a 15 minute process but it will most likely work. its worked for me many times

or you can go out and buy an impact driver, but id try my way first
