1989 firebird formula PROBLEM!
ok well when i first bought the car it was ideling low and fluctuation and would sometimes kill at a stop. so i bought a new throttle position sensor and it worked fine for a little while. then it started acting up again. so i replaced the o2 sensor and it ran fine. now the car is having problems again. it is now ideling at 2000 rpms.. its a 305 v8

Sounds like it might be the idle air control. This is located underneath (and attached too) your throttle body.

is your vehicle throwing any codes ? if it is it could be the MAF if you have the maf version like we do, possibly the ECM, and like we found out, our engine was replaced from a 305 to a 350 and the prom /ecm goes with the engine, someone forgot to replace the ecm/prom. If you need a prom we have one for your 305 and the ecm.
