bad luck...is my engine can be toast.

Thing like this happend....but when I installed my rocker, when strait to the track on a trailer put the car on the track, first run car is slow but not that bad.....thinking of low fuel pressur about 3psi raise it to 7psi go back.....now the car is realy slow. Back to the pit, i ear this ticking in the top, remove my valve cover...... 4-5 loosen up rocker and a missing pushrod, finaly a lifter got out...pusrod hurt the cam maybe because she was in the lifter hole.

anyway...was lucky enough to put it back up....car ran normaly and even really good....normaly run 12.50 on cold engine....and was running 12.30 on hot temp

my main question did the engine lost alot of oil pressure and is there a chance my bearing could of been damaged, because of the lost lifter??didnt think to look at it will cruissing down the track

Thanks
Seb

Not to be rude but I can't tell what you are saying or asking.

He's asking if he might have ruined a bearing due to losing a oil pressure. the answer is yes, it is possible..it just depends on how long it went without oil and if there was enough residual oil to keep it lubed for those few runs. If you start it up and it seems to be running well, I say leave it because the only way you'll know for sure is to tear down the engine to physically check the bearings.

ok good to know.....it run about 1mile.....well cruising down the track and back to the pit...then I might not hurt it that much, im running with some teflon additive maybe this saved it

thanks for answer....so only time will really tell since the car is running well for now
