Lifters Question

Lifters Question

I just got off the phone with a SummitRacing tech and he told me that I cant resuse my lifters when i change cams, Is this true?
My motor is a '87 TPI 350

You can reuse roller lifters.

If you were talking to him about a flat-tappet cam, you can't use your roller lifters on that type of cam.

Roller lifters CAN be reused if they seem to be in good shape (no gouges on the wheel or lifter machined surfaces, wheel spins smoothly and is not loose, etc)

Flat tappet lifters should NEVER be reused when changing the camshaft.
