The advertised and .050" duration #'s don't seem to go with each other.
If the RPM range is anywhere close, that's a poor choice for stock TPI runners.

Re: Cam Details!!!
Stock runners start hurting power at about 4500 RPMs. The cam will kill low-end power, and the TPI will kill top end power - leaving you with a very narrow powerband engine.
----------
That would require modifying the heads for additional lift.
Should have mentioned that you should plan on replacing the valve springs and retainers for either of those cams.

I dont mind replacing springs, just not a ton of other stuff,I dont want to machine the heads but everything is a go

You should plan on it, then.

Re: Cam Details!!!
save your money and just keep the stock L98 cam..i dont think you'll gain a thing over stock with that cam..maybe a few ponies due to better ramps but the duration is smaller and lift isnt any better than a L98 with 1.6's
i'd run this over the one jegs suggested, slight step up
http://www.jegs.com/i/Crane/270/1042...744662%7C10707
which is like a stock L98 cam as well duration wise, just alittle bit better with improved ramp rates and tigher LSA. Its their hotter cam for a 305, but works great in a 350
or the slightly larger still
http://www.jegs.com/i/Crane/270/1042...744662%7C10707
This cam is proven to work well on L98. Slightly larger than stock L98 cam but will work. Just give it another 2 degrees base timing and play with fuel pressure. MAF will dial in
both will work GREAT with upgraded TPI and stock heads especially that 224 cam.

Re: Cam Details!!!
I agree with Orr89RocZ the cam you almost purchased was not worth pulling out the stock cam. BTW you can reuse roller lifter in a roller block. Just make sure they have no glaring flaws, one plus to a roller block. I would also look at the 1992 Firehawk cam with 212/224 @ .050. Sometimes GM's pricing is pretty good, but they may not have something that old.
