Starter grinding

I have a weird issue that started yesterday with my starter.. when the car is cool the starter engages no problem but when it gets warmed up after driving for a bit and i turn it off to go into a store or something i come out and start it again it sounds like the starter is grinding the teeth on the flexplate or soemthing and usually takes 2-3 times to engage it property ot start?.. what is the problem do u think?... bad starter? the starter might be loose? any ideas are appreciated i just got the motor running and have already found out that the valve seals are shot etc.. so time for new heads...

Re: Starter grinding

Definately sounds like a bad starter. check to make sure the flexplate is okay.
