Cant decide what heads/cam combo to go with
I am stuck between two different types of heads. My efi setup will be w/e size injectors with the HSR and MEgasquirt

And

I know one is cast iron and one is aluminum, but there is a big price diff Am I really gaining alot with those aluminum heads?
I was wondering what is the best cam for it. I want a nasty idle too. I believe i need a larger lobe difference? or something like that
This will be temporarily going on my 350 for the time being as i prepare the 383 block i have. I know its a little bit large on a 350, but i want to get my Megasquirt tuned to an extent on it.

i dont think youcould go wrong with either head, but the aluminum is nicer for the 50 lbs you save over iron.
plus it will determine the pistons you will use in that 383. If you use a flat top your compression will be near 11 to 1. A iron head will need race gas for that, but a aluminum head will handle it on pump gas.
I'd go aluminum.
As for a cam for nasty idle, find something with around 70-78 degrees of overlap. comp cams cc306 is a good old grind that will run on that 350 but be a great cam for that 383. I'm running a custom grind pretty similar to the cc306 for my 383 build
