Car won't start help!!!

I changed my timing chain to a double roller and now the car won't start and it keeps bending or breaking pushrods.

Is it possible that the cam degree/timing is off?

All electrical connection are good and connected.

Re: Car won't start help!!!

timing is definitely off valves are hitting the pistons causing them to bend or break the pushrods line the mark on balancer up with 0* on timing tab on timing chain cover, pull balancer and cover again DO NOT move the crankshaft, theres a dot on crank gear, and a dot on cam gear, line these two dots up(dot to dot) reassemble. now is where you( get on knees say a prayer asking that the hot rod gods have looked down on you and you dont have any bent valves)jk. if youre lucky maybe none are bent, double check your timing, fire it up have fun, later jimmy

Re: Car won't start help!!!

dont even try to fire that car up without taking those heads apart... if you had put enough stress on the valves to bend or break pushrods you have bent valves which will make your situation much worse

Also the rocker arms will not install and sit straight. They now install and sit at an angle.

Is the a sign the the valves are bent?

Re: Car won't start help!!!

how are they angled towards the front or back of the engine or tipped more towards the valve or the pushrod? in any event that is a sign of damage

Re: Car won't start help!!!

yeah you bent the rocker studs that is a very bad sign you just bent a sizeable steel stud your vavles will be like pretzels you should start pulling the heads and hope you can even get the valves out
