Smog Pump odd question

What happens if I leave the smog pump on but have everything else pollution related removed. I just want to move it around and pull it in and out of the garage. Do I need to plug the hole on it?

Re: Smog Pump odd question

It just pushes air into the tubes going to the manifolds and the cat. There's nothing special about it. The only bad thing that will happen with everything else removed is you will fail the smog test. Oh, and it might make a little more noise.
