starter is dead, can i start?
My starter is dead, its happend at mart parking lot. Can i start the engine by pushing the car with speed in and using clutch to turn the engine? I have 5 speed stick. Or it will not be allowed by clutch possition sensor control? If i dont push the clutch down, then the engine will not start. Thanks for help

The clutch safety switch only keeps the starter from working, but the engine can still be started. Also, before you try push-starting it, try banging on the starter with a hammer or other heavy object. Most likely the starter solenoid is bad, and that may free it up, to get it home. I've used that trick a couple of times to get a car home with a failing starter.

Yes you can do that.
The switch on the clutch only prevents the starter from working; not the engine from running.
In fact, the clutch safety switch could possibly be the reason your starter doesn't work.
