Im building a 383 stroker and wan to run nos whats a good comp ratio and head for this app. want to do about 700 hp+ with nos and run around 10's

anything really expensive. I would like to stress that to build an engine that will RELIABLY hold 700 hp in a 383 configuration will be very pricey. I would guess upwards of 3000 on the shortblock alone would be a very good deal. Then you should be allowing about 12-15 hundred for heads. another 1000 for valvetrain, possibly more. And again, how do you plan on supporting this? A stock 700r4 aint gonna take it. The age old axiom applies : Fast, cheap, reliable, pick two.

Way too many unknowns to suggest compression.
What fuel are you going to use?
What RPM do you need to match the driveline components, and tire size?
On motor alone, you could make 1.5 HP per cube easily which means you
will need to run about 125 shot of nitrous.
With that in mind, you could use a small volume combustion chamber, or go
even bigger to prevent sudden rise in pressure spikes when on the nitrous.
What's your budget for heads?
What fuel are you going to use?
