Need help getting my GTA running!!! =)
My 1987 GTA (350 TPI 5.7L V8) has been sitting for 5 years when i bought it, apparently it ran great before the guy parked it to drive his minivan. I thought mabye just a Tune up would be enough to get it goin again but it dosen't seem that way...
Shipioned out old gas, put in fresh gas with injector cleaner
Changed air filter
Changed fuel filter
Changed oil
Changed oil filter
Changed battery
Turn key, no ignition and just turns over and over (sounds fine turning over)
And i was so excited too...I would really love to get it running in the next couple of days cause I can't stop thinking about it
What could i try now that wold be the most logical next step? =)

When you turn the ignition on, but before cranking, do you hear the fuel pump kick on for a few seconds?
Another option would be to check fuel pressure.
If you are getting good fuel pressure, next check that you are getting spark.
Double check those two first.

Re: Need help getting my GTA running!!! =)
check the following:
fuel relay (located on the drivers side firewall ) behind brake booster.
listen for the relay to pull in (click) when you turn the key forward.
check the 20 amp fuse located in a weatherpack fuse holder ( it is located on the drivers side of the car, in the front to the left of the battery.)
have someone turn the key and listen for the pump to prime.
on the passenger side of the intake is the fuel rail, on the fuel rail there is a valve with a cap, loosen the valve cap and depress the valve, if fuel does not come out or spray after the following tests most likely it is the fuel pump.
also if you supply 12VDC directly to the pump and it does not prime, it is most likely the pump.
