LG4 stock cam size/specs?????????

Does anyone have a link to a site or know where to find that info. Im trying to upgrade but want to know what size the stock cam is to begin with. Im sure anything over .400" lift would be awsome and a wake up call.

Also, does anyone know about stock 305 chamber sizes?

Thanks for any help finding the basic info.

its like .350/.385" lift and 186/19? duration @.050". A summit brand 214/224 .442/.465" cam would work well with a a 2500 rpm stall. If sticking with the stock stall converter, then go with there 204/214 .420/.442" cam.

z28,thank you. that is small. That particular cam is what im after(214/224). Im thinking of swapping over my Dart 165cc 1.94/1.50 heads on there too. Just not sure if the 1.94's are overshrouding the piston? Is it a bolt on deal? I've never done a 305 build up before

Stock 305 chambers are 58cc.

1.94"/1.50" valves are no problem at all.

Thank you,a 72cc chambered head and a big cam like I have might kill all the torque. It would be near 7.1 compression if so.

Re: LG4 stock cam size/specs?????????

Here's the link to the specs for 1985 Camaros on this site (I chose the year at random- but many of the years listed have cam and other engine data). The little old "peanut cam" went unchanged throughout it's life, except for it's change from a flat tappet to a roller in 1987. Even then, the specs didn't change much, if at all- it just got rollerized by the factory:

https://www.thirdgen.org/1985-chevy-camaro

Scroll down about 2/3 way and you'll see various cam specs. As you can see it's a wee little sucker at 179/194* @ .050, lift checks in at .350/.385" and it's got a 109* LSA.
