oe roller lifters.???

I feel like a noob, but oe roller lifters mean that they are for engines with roller lifters? I need to upgrade my valtrain for my heads cam setup i am putting in.

I was gong to go with some magnum roller rockers cca1416-16
Along with some summit pushrods which i have no idea what size i get...
Also i was going to get some summit roller lifters for my car. They were resonable in price SUM HT214

I just want to be sure that my valtrain is refreshed when i put new heads and cam in. Im looking at a 510 or so valve lift on the came with 1.47 springs on the heads(195cc).

Anything I am missing here?

Re: oe roller lifters.???

OE roller lifters = the kind that came in 87-up motors as Original Equipment; they use little "figure 8" "dogbones" to hold the lifters from rotating

"Retrofit", or original design, roller lifters = the kind all the rest of us had been using for decades before the factory "discovered" the idea; these use link bars to couple the 2 lifters for each cyl together, to keep them from rotating

If your engine has roller lifters in it, of either type, and they work OK, then there's no sense in replacing them. Waste of money. If the rollers roll smoothly, no roughness or friction, and if the surface of the wheels is shiny, then don't bother.

Those 1400 rockers aren't roller; they're just roller tip. They still have a ball fulcrum for their pivot. But for a little bitty cam, such as any roller cam with only .510" of lift, they're adequate. MUCH MUCH better than the stock stamped sheet metal ones, even if far from as beneficial as ones with roller fulcrums as well such as the 1300 series. On the other hand, the 1400s fit under ANY valve covers, but the good ones typically don't fit under stock VCs. The Poly-Locks are too tall, and both the oil baffles and the tube where the VC screws go, won't fit down between them.
