Does said LT1 still have the Optispark distributor, or has it been converted to run a tradiational distributor behind the intake?

If its got the Opti, then its not adjustable. The ECM makes all the adjustments.

If its been converted to a tradiational distributor, then you adjust timing by rotating it clockwise/counter-clockwise just like a normal SBC.

On the timing cover is the Optispark, yes. Its not mechanically adjustable - only the ECM can adjust timing.
