How to custom make you own cold air intake
Wow, after years of looking at the cold air intakes for muscle cars' I relized how expensive they are. And all it really is is a few fet of tube. The stock air assemble has the round cyclinder end where the air filter is located, well take it off and simply by a K & N air cone for '91-'92 Firebird for 45.00 and then squeeze the air cone up into the air tube and fasten it with a clamp. It works just like a cold air intake and 300.00 less. It really works well, the difference is amazing. I had the air cone in my garage for years and last week I was working under the hood and it just hit me. Andrew

Here is a photo from my phone. It is just a K & N air cone that is pressed hard around the opening to get the circular shape, squeeze on and tighten with clamp. You can see it is attached to the factory black tubing, excelent looking and a big difference in throttle. Andrew

can somebody reattach the pic unzipped? it doesnt seem to be opening on my computer. i have seen cheap custom homemade intakes for most other cars, i guess i am not too suprised that somebody made one for a camaro. but still i think it would be cool to see.

Somebody pm me with your email so I can send the photo and post it here for us. It is not a cheap method, just changing the air filter caninster with the air cone. Andrew
