oil splatter
i think that oil is shooting out of the dipstick..anyone know what the problem could be? 89 305 tpi.

cuz there is oil on the passeger valve cover on around the dipstick area.

The only thing that would cause that is excess crankcase pressure. Are your breather and PCV working properly?
Oil coming out the top of the dipstick is not exactly an easy thing to do.
Make sure it's not your VC gasket that happens to be leaking there.

i had the same issue, make sure pcv is working. also remove oil fill cap and see if you have alot of pressure comeing out when running. i had massive crank case pressure and it ended up being two pistons with broken ring lands causing blow by. found it by doung a compression test. hope its not your problem.
