Tuning problems

I have a tpi 350 it has 30 lb accel injectors adj pressure reg lunati 480 lift cam I know that it is supposed to have a 2400 stall. and it has a custom burnt chip I still seem to have problems with it. It seems to want to have a miss at a steady speed and kinda choppy. It also has new mass air flow sensor and all of that stuff just woundering if anyone has any ideas. Thanks

Re: Tuning problems

wit those injectors on that 350, it gonna be hard to tune. 30lb injectors are normally for 383's or possibly turbo or supercharged applications. they are prolly way to big for your application if naturally aspirated. if the lift you have on that cam is at the valve, then the injectors are too much for it.

btw, what is the "custom" chip. was it programmed on a dyno or did you get it mail order? most mail order tunes just add fuel and spark. possibly some timing. with those injectors, it is probably too much fuel even if the injector constant has been changed.

btw, welcome to the board

Re: Tuning problems

Thanks zjeff I had it the chip burnt by a local guy who I guess uses a laptop to monitor what the car is doing and I think he was making adjustments that way. Another question I cant get my fuel pressure regulator to adjust down from 42 lbs and I think I need to be around 39 on the accel injectors. I agree that I am running a little bit mor fuel than needed. I also run nitrous 125 shot. Do you think if I bumped my plugs to a hotter heat range that this could cure my problems since I am running to much fuel.
