Re: 4th gen fuel tank

do a search, there have been a good number of posts about it. 4th gen tank will fit (its been done by a member here), they don't have a baffle but there is a cup in the tank that does the same job, pump always keeps the cup full and pulls fuel from it when the pick up no longer has fuel. theres a thread about that too, with pics if you care to see. hope that helped ya some

Re: 4th gen fuel tank

98+ sending units use a different ohm scale than the third gens & early 4th gens, 82-97 are 0-90 ohm...98`s are 40-250....I`d start with an LT1 tank if it`s baffled like the 98+ ones

Re: 4th gen fuel tank

so will i be able to just swap the tank right over and still use the same pump and all the fittings so long as its pre 98 even though it might be a 6 cyl

Something tells me the fittings aren't the same. They certainly are different for the plastic tanks.

What's your motivation for doing this?
