What is INFL REST MEAN

Ive had the car over a month and finally got a manual on ebay but what does INFL REST mean when I start the car. The only think that I can think of is seat belt. If not could anyone tell me what it is. Also what is the reg level of RPM's that a 3.1 should be at. In park its hanging around 750 but that is after I cleaned the TP sensore and another one above that one which was dirty like hell and also My ATS sensor was bad also. ALso now in drive its around under 1000 and is ideling a hell of a lot better and pickup is way different also. My CEL came on for a second but went away. Will drive it some more and see what happens.

Well, INFL REST means Inflatable Restraint(air bag). If the light stays on then there is probably something wrong with the air bag system. If it goes out that is normal. As far as the idle, I'm not sure what its supposed to be but that sounds close.

Thanks Hotrod and will look into the air bag system. As far as the idel issue since I cleaned out a couple of sensors it is running awesome and has more pickup then before and still has a slight idel issue at a stop light but much better then before. Wondering is my 91 Firebird with the 3.1 V6 engine is a OBD II or not. I think it isnt but not sure til I can my owners manual in.

91 would be OBDI. OBDII started in 1996.
