rearmain seal leak?

rearmain seal leak?
im leaking between the tranny and motor, havent had a super good look. i know the car goes thru oil, always has.original owner told me it was just valve cover gaskets. i leak puddles the size of pancakes when i stop for gas. also one time i was getting on it and i saw something spray from out from underneath my car while doing about 60mph. im losing alot of oil.
any suggestion on what i should do

Valve cover gaskets are not that hard to do, and not that expensive.
Change them or get them changed to take them out of the equation then see what you have left.

Wow. Leaking that much will be easy to find. Everything you describe could be caused by valve cover gaskets. Especially the cloud behind you when you go up a hill at WOT.
Valve cover gaskets are not that hard to do, and not that expensive.
Change them or get them changed to take them out of the equation then see what you have left.

intake looks nasty too. the front, so im sure the back strip isnt much better

Second on the valve cover gaskets, and check for the 'sofakingdom' leak.

No NOT messed up. It's the leak from the front of the block when the smog pump is removed and a short bolt is not installed into the mount hole that penetrates into the fuel pump pushrod bore.

wow,lol,well now i know, so while we are at it i want to remove my smog stuff, good or bad? how do i plug up everything, i already took the belt off. engine bay would look nicer with it gone for sure no emission for me so not a big deal

It depends on what year it is and if it is TPI. Do a for "smog delete". Should be plenty of threads to read...
