carb selection question

here is my dilema i have a 383 with about 11:1 compression with 200cc/64cc 2.02/1.6" heads a .480/.480 cam with edelbrock performer rpm intake and a 1" spacer and an edelbrock 1411 carb rejettted and changed the rods to match a 1407. now is there a difference in the overall design of the two carbs besides the jets and rods? i ask because it says on the edelbrock website that you shouldnt use the 1411 with the performer rpm intake which may be why my dyno was so terrible. well any way my main question is what is a good out the box carb to put on top of my motor?

Re: carb selection question

The only difference between the two is the choke, and the jetting out of the box.

Re: carb selection question

You could try to make it work. Even if you had to take it apart and clean it out, the rebuild kit isn't expensive and those are about one of the simplest carbs ever.
