Long Crank When Wet

Long Crank When Wet
It just rained for the past few days at my house. I have noticed that everytime it rains and my car sits overnight/ or a long time that is takes a while to start. Sometimes I have to cycle the ignition 3 times while pumping the gas. I know I have a code 54 and that could be part of the problem. But what gets me is why it only does this when it is wet. And when it finally starts it runs like crap. When its dry out, sometimes my car fires right up and then dies. It doesn't do it that often when its dry out though.

What's code 54?
Usually hard to start when wet is a bit of moisture getting into the distributor cap. Try removing it and drying it out, and/or replacing it along with a new rotor.

Ah, perhaps a loose fuel pump connection?

Ya, it seems to obviously be that fuel pump problem...sounds like it matches your symptoms there eh?
